Google Ads

I put Google AdSense on my page--mostly to see how it works. I doubt it will make any money for me.

Ok, so Google has targeted Ads, right? So, you can say that the Ads they show somehow represent your site in some way. Soo.. What does this say about me?

Happy Birthday to me.

My mom wants everyone to know that I am not 35 until 11:59 tonight. Valerie wonders why we have two 3's but no 5 candle.

Kyla's happy that there is chocolate cake. I told Valerie that all I wanted for my birthday was a round chocolate cake. See, we have been having a bit of a disagreement over whether we need round cake pans. She brought two heart shaped cake pans into the marriage. Well, that's cool enough, but you can't make every kids birthday cake into a heart.
Anyway, she secretly bought some Pampered Chef ones through Joellyn's school fundraiser. I had no idea. Unfortunately, she forgot to buy cake. So she had to rush to the convenience store after work, where they only had brownies. So we had a brownie cake, with raspberry jelly in the middle.

Oh goodness, it was good. I almost passed out from the chocolateyness. We calculated that there were 3 brownies to the slice. And we were out of milk besides. Yep, time to go shopping.

12th Anniversary is... the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy!

Some might think getting plastic building blocks for your anniversary is a bit strange. Not me. I have been playing with Legos for quite some time, now. I am also collecting the Star Wars Lego sets--and they apparently know that seeing how they keep coming out with new sets, and there is no end in sight! Also, Valerie says this is my "October" gift, so it counts for my birthday as well.
In trying to explain this to my sister-in-law (who doesn't approve of my Lego addiction), Val had to put it in terms of my brother's recent birthday gift. "Let's just say it cost as much as two Wii's!"

Anyway, I always try to get Valerie something from the traditional list of gifts, and this year was silk. So I got her silk flowers to match her wedding bouquet. Since we were married in October, we had a fall flower theme, with Orange and Black (well, really Rust and Black) color scheme.
So, it may seem unequitable that I got a $500 lego set and she got $25 worth of fake flowers in a vase of rocks. (Yep, that set is the biggest, most expensive Lego set ever. And its all mine. Mwahahahaaa!) But... I also took her to see Jimmy Buffet last month, and we sat in the 17th row on the floor section. Those were not cheap seats!
The rock vase--I didn't even do. She had that idea from our trip to Cape Cod this summer. It was just a strange coincidence that she actually filled the thing with orange rocks the day before our anniversary!
